How to Get Help

Nightstop provides emergency accommodation on a night-by-night basis and does not accept direct referrals. Instead we accept referrals from trained agencies who work with you to secure long-term accommodation. Please follow the steps below to contact the best referral agency to help you.

Step 1

Using your last permanent address, search online to find out your district council or local authority. For example, if your last known address was in Arnold, your would contact Gedling Borough council.

Step 2

Contact your district council or local authority listed in the “Main Services”. It’s best to visit these services during office hours as phone lines can be very busy.

If you have additional needs –  for example, if you are fleeing domestic violence, are a refugee or asylum seeker – please contact one of the referral agencies listed in “Additional Support”.

Step 3

Explore housing options with the help provided at your chosen agency. If you are interested in staying with Nightstop, let them know. You will be asked a number of questions to determine if our service is appropriate for you.
